Operation Christmas Child

Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan's Purse is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with millions of boys and girls in more than 100 countries each year.  Many of these children have never before received a present or heard the true meaning of Christmas until they open a gift-filled shoebox from a person like you.

You may pick up a pre-printed shoebox in our Gathering Place on Sunday Morning or during the week during office hours.  Please bring your gift-filled shoebox back to the church prior to Sunday, November 14 which will be our Shoebox Dedication Service.

Suggestions for Packing A Shoe Box

• A "WOW" Item
  Select a quality "wow" toy such as doll, soccer ball with pump, stuffed animal, or shoes.  Some toy suggestions would be a toy cars, jump ropes, Yo-yos, or toys that light up and make noise (include extra batteries).
• Non-Liquid Hygiene Items
  These items could include toothbrushes, bar soap (place in plastic bag), washcloths, or combs.
• School Supplies
  Pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebook, paper, coloring and picture books, or solar calculators.
• Accessories
  Socks, sunglasses, jewelry, watches, or flashlights (with extra batteries).
• Personal Note
  In a separate envelop include a personal note and a photo to delight the heart of a child.  If you include your name and address, the child may write you back.
• A $9 Donation
  A donation of $9 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs.  For easiest processing you can give online or give by check using the envelope that is attached to the OCC Information Brochure.
