One of our greatest needs is coaches! We also need referees, devotion leaders, scoreboard keepers, and game day volunteers to help with concessions and other support roles.
Invest in young players, cheer them on, and help share Christ’s love through Upward Basketball!

Volunteer
Player Evaluation Volunteers are our BIGGEST need! Help us evaluate players and create balanced, competitive teams! Volunteers are needed 5:00–8:00 PM on October 26, 27, and 29 and November 2 and 3.
Each evening, we need:
- 8 volunteers for basketball drills
- 3 volunteers for check-in/registration
- 1 volunteer for data entry
All volunteers must attend training on Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 PM in the Family Life Center.

Special Called Business Meeting

A Special Called Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, October 28 at 6:00pm in the Family Life Center following the Fellowship Meal.
The Nominating Committee will present for church approval the following:

Staff Appreciation Week

Please join the Personnel Committee in celebrating our wonderful staff and thanking them for their faithful service and dedication to our church family! Cards, personal notes, and individual treats are always welcome. Small groups or Sunday school classes wishing to provide breakfast or lunch October 19–23 should coordinate with Kristin in the church office regarding scheduling, staff preferences, and food allergies.

Backpack Ministry
Backpacks are ready for pickup in the Gathering Place! Backpacks are $5 each, and supply lists are available to help you get started shopping.
Backpack sales end Sunday, October 25. Filled backpacks are due back on Sunday, November 1 for our Backpack Dedication, which will take place during both worship services.
Thank you for helping us share God’s love with children in Appalachia! Our churchwide goal is 175 backpacks.
