Welcome to First Baptist Church of Morehead City, where the women love to serve our Incomprehensible, Great, and Glorious God! We are so grateful that you are here and invite you to join us as we grow in faith, build community, and serve together in the name of Jesus. Our Women’s Ministry offers many opportunities throughout the week, month, and year to connect with God and one another. GROW Groups - Every month, women gather in small groups throughout the local area in GROW Groups—an acronym for Godly, Righteous, Obedient Women. Each group partners with a local nonprofit organization, supporting them through prayer and acts of service. These gatherings also provide a welcoming environment to invite friends and neighbors who may not yet have a church home. Contact LeAnn Williams at 252-725-7034.

Intercessory Prayer Team - If prayer is close to your heart, we invite you to join us on the first Friday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the church parlor. This sacred time of prayer allows us to bring our praises and petitions before the Lord together. Contact Diane Herring at 252-241-4984.

Women’s Bible Studies - We offer a variety each Fall and Spring, designed to help you grow deeper in God’s Word and in fellowship with others. Contact Gail Whitley at 252-241-2010.

Craft Nights - For our creative sisters, we host these led by talented women within our church family. These gatherings are filled with joy, laughter, and the beauty of creating something together.

Annual Retreats and Conferences - We also offer sacred time away from the busyness of life to rest, reflect, and renew your walk with Christ. These experiences deepen our relationships with God and one another in meaningful ways.

Scholarship Opportunities - For any event that charges a fee, the Women’s Ministry provides confidential scholarships to those who need financial assistance. For more information, contact Carol Reed at 252-726-4142.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Women’s Ministry Director. Much of the work God calls me to in this season happens in unseen places. He did not create in me a public speaker, but He has given me a deep love for His Word and prayer. He did not make me confident in myself, but His confidence is my portion. He did not call me to do this work alone, but has lovingly surrounded me with an incredible team of Godly women who love Him, me, and you beyond measure.

The women’s ministry of FBC-MHC belongs wholly to God, for His glory and for our good. We hope you will stay, grow, and serve with us here at FBC-MHC, and that you find this community to be a family rooted in the love of Christ.
