Sunday School Classes

At First Baptist we live to be Disciples of Christ who exalt God, prepare people and share Christ. Our Bible Fellowship’s is one way we prepare people to be Disciples of Christ. We believe that your involvement in a Sunday Bible Study and connecting with other believers is critical to your spiritual formation. 

Each class is organized for:

  • Bible Study
  • Fellowship
  • Spiritual Care
  • Outreach/Evangelism

Most of our adult groups include fellowship around a light breakfast, group announcements, a prayer time, and an interactive Bible study. Outside of Sunday mornings the groups participate in social activities, outreach and ministry projects. Each class decides its own curriculum based on the interest of the people.

The adult groups are organized in unique ways, such as life stage communities. When considering which class to join, you might want to visit  several before deciding which one is right for you. These group descriptions are only guidelines to help you make the initial contact.

If you have any questions just call the church office. We want to help you connect with others at First Baptist. You will find someone in our Welcome Center on Sunday morning who will assist you in finding your group.

1st Floor

Children & Adults

Kids Corner:

  • Newborn to 2 Years: Room E-103 A
  • 2 Years to 4 Years: Room E-103 B
  • 5 Years to 2nd Grade: Room E-103 C
  • Kids Worship: Room E-104 (11:30am)

Lighthouse

Room M-103: Next to the Gathering Place

This senior group of men enjoys Bible discussion as they seek to discern God's will for their lives.

Charity Beck

Room M-102: Parlor, Next to Gathering Place

This class is comprised of mature ladies ranging in age from the 60’s to the 90’s. They consider themselves as spiritual survivors who are caring, loving, and truly appreciates life. 

Insights for Living

Room E-106: Conference Room

This group is composed primarily of “senior” adults. They use a participatory approach to Bible study and are at work being disciples through local  missions and ministries.

Room M-202: Over Office Area

This class is for parents of children and youth. They use the Bible Studies for Life literature to sync with youth Sunday School Classes. This will help provide tools for conversations at home.

Cornerstone

Room E-205: Over Kids Worship

This is a group with families who have grown children and some with grandchildren. They  enjoy a variety of teaching styles with a rotation of teachers each week and enjoy regular social events outside of church. 

Light of Life

Room E-206: Over Kids Corner

This group consist mainly of couples with children, but they welcome anyone to join them for some solid Bible teaching, discussion, and fellowship.

Builders

Room E-207: Over Kids Corner

This class reaches out to young married couples who may or may not have children. They have a rotation of teachers and will use a variety of topical short term studies.

Berean

Room E-208: Over Conference Room

This group of adults are "empty nesters". They enjoy Examining the Word of God with great eagerness.

LOGOS (Age 18-29)

This is a group of young adults. An amazing journey of studying the entire revelation of God's Word together and the importance of God's Word in your life.

Seekers

Room E-210: Over Conference Room

This group is comprised of medium age couples with children. Their focus is creating an environment where family issues can be addressed. 

Journey Through the Bible

Room E-211 : Over Choir Room

This group systematically read through the Bible this year. On Sunday they come together to ask questions and to discuss their readings. 

Faith & Fellowship

Room E-212: Over Gathering Place

This is an active group of married couple and  singles who are mostly 60 years of age and older. On Sunday morning they have in-depth Bible studies led by a rotation of teachers. They enjoy spending time together and hands on mission activities.
