Our Goal

Our goal is the share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with families through Upward Basketball.  We want to help children to grow mentally, socially, athletically, and most importantly, spiritually.

We place a high emphasis on building character, sportmanship, and leadership in each participant.  We believe youth sports should be played in a fun environment where children can learn the game, develop their skills, experience teamwork, and learn principles that will apply both on and off the court.

Volunteer With Our Upward Basketball League

Head Coach & Assistant Coaches
Impact the lives of children by using your gifts and talents to teach the fundamentals of the game as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, and respect for authority.  Never coached before?  Don't worry; Upward Sports will provide you with all the resources necessary to teach the sport, share life lessons, and coach your team.  Time commitment: 1 hour practice and 1 hour game each week.

Referee
Do you have a passion for the game and working knowledge of the rules of the game?  If so, use your gift to make an impact in the lives of the children as an Upward referee.  Time commitment:  1 hour a week on Saturday (depending on how many games you referee).

Score Keeper for the 5th & 6th Grade Division
Keep track of the score and fouls of each game on paper.  Time commitment: 2 1/2 hours on Saturday.

Game Day Helper
Volunteers are needed each Saturday to assist the Game Day Coordinator.  Some of the responsibilities include helping with the scoreboard, playing music, lining up players, setting up the Family Life Center for the first game, cleaning up at the end of the day, and other things.  Time Commitment:  Approximately 4 hours every other Saturday.

Concessions
Volunteer to help serve refreshments during each game.  Click here to sign up for a specific game.
